This morning we went to Golden Gardens. This is unusual because, first of all, I usually only visit Golden Gardens for sunset or for a late afternoon picnic.
Not only that, but instead of going to the main beach area, we walked up to the North Beach. All this time, I had kind of wondered what was going on up there, but never ventured that way.
It was beautiful! Kind of a different vibe than people playing volleyball on the main beach.
There were people having fires on the beach (yes, even in the early morning), and, I don't know if it's always this way, or if it was because the tide was out, but there was kind of this tide pool effect where people were collecting shells and mucking in the mud, and just having a good time. I didn't get a picture of the sea lions or seals, but there were some out on a buoy. It was great.
